Construction of a new quay wall
Soetaert was responsible for the installation of an 813-metre combi-wall for the construction of a new quay wall. This extension made this part of Canal Dock B2 accessible for seagoing vessels.
The pile driving team placed for this combi-wall 305 steel casings with a diameter of 2 metre, a length of 29 metre and a weight of 30 tonnes each. In between them, an equal number of sheet piles were inserted. The entire combi-wall was executed from pontoons on the water.
