Valorisation Centres
Jan De Nul Group operates a number of geographically well-spread valorisation centres . We have the necessary permits and specialised plants to apply treatment techniques and treat several contaminated soil types. But we can also temporarily store non-polluted soil acting as a soil depot for civil or other works.
Toulon
With its treatment and storage centre (CPEM) in Toulon, Envisan pays a direct contribution to the circular economy. Envisan develops and runs this centre in cooperation and consultation with all stakeholders. With a processing capacity of 160,000 m³ per year, CPEM offers its public and private clients innovative and safe solutions by taking over a wide range of non-harmful mineral waste substances, including contaminated soil and dredged sediments. The materials treated in this centre are revalorised to be used as construction material or for other applications. In other words, CPEM represents a valuable sustainable link in the circular renewables chain.
Moen
The sediment treatment centre Sedival Moen in Southwest Flanders has a lagooning capacity of 70,000 m³ per year. It has been developed on top of the covered part of the landfill of the Intermunicipal Public Health Agency (IMOG). As a result, sediments that cannot be treated or reused can be deposited in the landfill, thus avoiding an additional transport from the treatment site to an external landfill.
Ghent, Saint-Ghislain and Monsin
Our Recycling Centres and Temporary Storage Sites (RC&TSS) turn Envisan and Jan De Nul into the ideal partner for developing the most economic and ecological overall solutions for the treatment of soils and/or sediments. Furthermore, we can also take over all administrative formalities and look for a suited buyer, focussing on the valorisation potential. In this way, we pay a direct contribution to the circular economy.
Our treatment centre in Ghent (Hulsdonk) has an annual processing capacity of 450,000 tonnes, the centres Sol & Val in Saint-Ghislain and in Monsin can process up to 200,000 tonnes per year. Our technical expertise, the proper assessment and management of the environmental impact and our quality, safety and health management systems ensure the most innovative and safe solutions.
