Crew reunited with drowning man they were able to save
23 July 2019
In the beginning of May 2019, the crew of one of Jan De Nul's ships brought a drowning man on board who had been floating around in the South China Sea for four days. Only because the crew could rely on thorough training and drills, the completely exhausted man could survive. Doctors said that, without the intervention, he only had a few hours left to live. A month and a half later, an emotional reunion took place in Indonesia between the crew and the drowning man, who in the meantime had recovered.
