Future-proof ports
We modernise and expand existing ports or build new ones. More specifically, we construct quays, berthing docks, container terminals, turning basins, breakwaters … with a diverse range of vessels and rolling equipment, from dredgers to excavators.
Nador in Morocco
In the Tangier-Tetouan region, Morocco, we constructed a new deep-water port with an integrated industrial platform and free-trade zone.
Clean and safe waterways
We maintain, deepen or widen waterways such as rivers and access channels for the safe passage of large vessels. To do this, we rely on an industry-leading fleet of trailing suction hopper dredgers, cutter suction dredgers, split hopper barges and backhoe dredgers. Important: if the dredged soil is contaminated by industrial or other past activities, we can clean up the sediments.
Guayaquil in Ecuador
To keep the port of Guayaquil, Ecuador, accessible to Neo Panamax and other large vessels, we deepened its access channel to 12.5 metres.
Land reclamation
We create new beaches and develop new land for residential, recreational or industrial use. Or even for nature restoration projects. Our dredging vessels spray the soil ashore using the rainbowing technique or pump it to the shore through a pipeline. We can also use dump trucks and other rolling equipment.
Palm Island II in Dubai
In Dubai, we constructed a world-class tourist venue to stress the region’s reputation in unique holiday experiences. This artificial peninsula has the shape of a palm tree, with 17 palm leaves each 80 metres wide.
Reinforced and extended coastlines
We maintain coastlines by replenishing them with sand, while we also install protective structures to break waves and reduce their impact on the coast. When creating these coastal protection structures, we make active use of the ecological function of shores to enrich the fauna and flora.
Balneário Camboriú in Brazil
In 9 weeks, we expanded 5.8 km of beach in the Brazilian coastal city of Balneário Camboriú to counteract erosion, create more beach space, and protect coastal roads from violent storms and tides.
