Offshore energy structures

With our versatile fleet of offshore installation vessels, we are able to install any offshore structure. From concrete or steel foundations to offshore high-voltage stations and wind turbines. Dogger Bank in the UK

For the offshore wind farm Dogger Bank, UK, we transport and install 277 of the world’s most powerful wind turbines, each producing 13 or 14 MW. When completed, Dogger Bank will supply at least 6 million households a year with green power.

Subsea cables

We have the expertise and equipment to safely transport, install and protect different types of subsea cables. Inter-arrays connecting wind turbines, export cables bringing energy ashore, interconnectors connecting energy grids worldwide, or umbilicals for the electrification of oil and gas platforms. As an all-round partner, we can manage them all.

Greenlink: connecting Ireland and Great Britain

To connect the Irish and British power grids, we installed and protected two high-voltage DC cables and a fibre-optic cable over 160 kilometres to establish the 500-MW Greenlink Interconnector.

Specialised services

Ground-breaking offshore wind farms and interconnectors often make the news, but in many cases, that is only possible because of specialised services that get far less attention.

Rock installation

We stabilise, reinforce and protect offshore structures with gravel, rocks, filter bags, or concrete mattresses to fight erosion through waves and currents. The rocks are installed within design margins, with high accuracy, using various types of fall pipes.

Seabed interventions

To ensure a stable base for offshore structures, we dredge dunes, level the surface and, if needed, place a first layer of gravel. Pipelines and cables are preferably installed under the seabed. To do so, we excavate special trenches that start at sea, may pass across the foreshore, and end on land.

Dismantling and hoisting

Our installation vessels can handle all types of hoisting operations. We can decommission oil and gas platforms, offshore windfarms and even salvage shipwrecks.
