Interactive exposition Going Like The Wind
Fort Napoleon, Oostende
Extended until December 1st!
Going Like The Wind is a captivating experience exhibition tailored to children at Fort Napoleon, Ostend. The interactive exhibition offers an innovative look at the world of renewable energy. Through interactive panels, visitors can discover how offshore wind turbines bring electricity ashore and learn about innovations such as the Princess Elisabeth Island.
What to expect?
- An interactive exploration that brings the eponymous book "Going Like The Wind" by author Sarah Devos to life. Discover the whole journey from wind to a burning lamp with your children. You will receive the book to take home after the expo.
- An adventurous activity trail where children can play to their heart's content: from crawling through ‘turbines’ and ‘cables’ to climbing and jumping on a play version of Princess Elisabeth Island. Don't forget to take a fun photo in the photo booth!
- A family quest through Ostend. The energy story also continues outside Fort Napoleon. Follow the trail, answer questions, and solve the assignments you are given at the start of the quest.
As part of TM Edison, we help build the Princess Elisabeth Island and sponsor this interactive exhibition to introduce children and teenagers to the world of renewable energy.
