The Telford and Scott field are two offshore oil and gas fields which are located In the North Sea on water depths between 130 m and 150 m. Over three different campaigns in 2018 and 2019 the ‘Simon Stevin’ installed over 225,000 tonnes of rock in those fields.
The scope of work included mostly post lay protection of installed pipelines but the vessel also performed pre lay installation, crossing protection, upheaval buckling mitigation and counter fill installation. As installation was required near assets of different third parties detailed hazard identification meeting were organised to discuss simultaneous operations with the different other vessels working in the fields and on the same pipelines in the different campaigns.
