Envisan implements its expertise in decontaminating former gasworks in Ireland
Envisan was awarded its first Irish project in Waterford. The group decontaminated the site of the former gasworks. Approximately 40,000 m³ soil was polluted. This soil was excavated electively to a depth of 6 metres.
The excavated soil was stored, analysed, screened and subjected to thermal processing. The groundwater was also extracted and treated. After this decontamination, the site could be redeveloped into a mix of business park and leisure facilities.
