Cable repair works in Iceland

Early May 2017, the Icelandic utility company Landsnet contacted Jan De Nul Group. In June that year, urgent repairs were needed to a cable between Westman Island and the Icelandic mainland.

It took less than three weeks to reach an agreement. Jan De Nul Group mobilised cable-laying vessel Isaac Newton from Canada to Europe in order to get it operational for the Iceland assignment as quickly as possible.
