Vilvoorde Fabricom GTI
Former warehouse of Fabricom GTI converted into serviced land for logistic businesses and SMEs.
The Watersite project is a strategic reconversion project for the whole canal area in Vilvoorde. The Fabricom site is part of this ambitious large-scale project. It concerns a former warehouse and garage workshop for aircraft and trucks with an historical pollution exceeding the borders of the site. Fabricom GTI transferred the real estate along with the remediation obligation to us. After having made the site ready for development, we sold the project in 2011 by way of an exchange transaction to Novoil (part of PMV) as a site for logistic businesses and SMEs. This transaction allowed us to acquire some strategic plots in the project area ‘4 Fonteinen’ in view of the further consolidation and redevelopment of the 4 Fonteinen project.
