From blocked property in receivership to buildable residential zone

From blocked property in receivership to serviced land for residential redevelopment. Since 1943, this site was home to a spinning mill and a dye works for printing and finishing textile (Sofinal) as well as a number of metal processing and treatment workshops. Mineral oils and heavy metals, however, seriously polluted the soil.

The factory and buildings were left abandoned and in early 2003, the parent company Sofitex went bankrupt. In 2007, we bought the site from the receivership, including all remediation obligations. As such, we offered a comprehensive solution for this complex file that had been blocked for many years. The existing soil remediation plan was adapted as it was outdated and the described techniques were inadequate. The remediation was fully geared to the future destination and the plans to develop the site as a residential area. Subsequently, the project site was sold as serviced land for residential redevelopment.
