On Sunday 17 March we will open the doors of one of our sites where we put innovation into practice. Curious about the latest innovations on board of our vessels with which we face the future? Then pay a visit to our offshore support vessel Symphony in Zeebrugge. Symphony is one of the most recent vessels in our fleet. We acquired it in 2022 with a very specific purpose: to support our cable installation activities.
For years, we have been committed to making renewable and affordable energy possible. We construct offshore wind farms, and install and protect the cables that bring the generated power ashore. To do so, we developed a lot of specialised equipment in-house, such as our trenching vehicle Swordfish.
This vehicle has its home base on Symphony, from where it is launched into the water to bury cables in the seabed. A job that requires a lot of precision and is done entirely from a distance. To do so, Symphony is equipped with the latest technologies. Would you like to discover all these high-tech tools we are using to build the energy transition? Then hop aboard on 17 March in Zeebrugge.
