In 2014 and 2015 the Joseph Plateau was mobilized to Australia to perform rock blanket installation, solid ballasting and scour protection services for the chevron-operated Wheatstone platform.
For the stabilization of a 24” Gas Export Pipeline on a depth of up to 380 m a rock berm needed to be installed for Shell. Rock material with a high density was required to be stable enough to withstand the high currents on that water depth.
The Telford and Scott field are two offshore oil and gas fields which are located In the North Sea on water depths between 130 m and 150 m. Over three different campaigns in 2018 and 2019 the ‘Simon Stevin’ installed over 225,000 tonnes of rock in those fields.
In 2016-2017 the ‘Joseph Plateau’ was mobilized to the Port of An Ping to execute one of the largest scopes the vessel has executed so far. The vessel installed over 500,000 tonnes of rock to stabilize a pipeline.
